Joby building the solar panel base on top of the feeding center. This was very dangerous because of the very slippery roof and the bulky panel configuration and weight.
View of the installed solar panels that operate the solar submersible water pump.
The solar panels installed for the solar water pump and the solar oven being attended to by the staff.

The silo’s were filled with grains which was bought by donors. With a severe drought in Kenya we were able to buy and store when the prices were at their lowest.
Children gather at the feeding center
Daryl telling the children about their responsibility to share with their friends the blessing of God and how God is the one who has been providing for their needs.
Children eating lunch and listening to stories of Jesus by Daryl on the last day before Daryl leaves Kaswanga
Joby telling the kids about his carribian sailing experience. The children were spellbound with excitement.
One of the children who came to the feeding center for basic medical care to treat malaria. John was too sick to walk or stand. Without the support of the donors John might have died due to a lack of funds for malaria treatments.
The Living Waters Garden
A tractor was hired to plow the garden in preparation for planting fruits and vegetables. The tractor came from the mainland a great distance away.

These are the new water storage tanks installed for the garden drip irrigation system.
Drilling of the Wells
Drilling starts late in the day and reached 190 feet through solid rock 4 ½ hours later.
This is the second well that was drilled for the community. This was provided at no extra expense, but was left for the community to organize a pumping system.
Miracle water- this is a night shot when we hit first water at 100 feet. This is a miracle as this is exactly the depth that many people were praying for the previous 3 weeks, as water at this depth would mean a less expensive drilling operation.

Water flowing from 190 feet deep.

Testing the water from the well at the feeding center, before hooking the lines to the water tower.
This is the water tank that initially receives water from the solar pump using a series of valves which supplies water to the feeding center or the garden tanks.
